Fireworks sales start in many locations June 27th.
Please note the following:
Per our city code (Chapter 7, Article 3)
- The use of fireworks is only permitted between 8am and midnight from June 27th through July 4th
- Fireworks are not permitted to be directed at any person, group of people, or vehicle.
Additional notes:
- Remember to take proper precautions: don’t hold lit fireworks, have water on hand, make sure fireworks are completely out before throwing them in with other garbage.
- Many dogs and cats do not respond well to fireworks. Please be respectful of other people’s pets and take proper precautions to keep your own safe. Prairie Paws is offering free microchips now through July 3rd.
- Clean up the used fireworks.
