The city of Riley and it’s surrounding areas are served by Riley County USD 378.

The district operates both a K-8 Grade School / Middle School and a 9-12 High School.  In total the district serves around 900 students.

USD 378 boasts a Top 10 Ranking in nearly every statistical category of testing and proficiency as well as annually being recognized as one of the best school districts in the state.  The school board strives to maintain a low student to teacher ratio to ensure all students get a top notch education and plenty of personal attention when needed.

In 2019 a bond referendum of 15 million dollars was passed by voters, that encompassed several infrastructure and security updates to the high school, with a larger majority of the funds being used to provide significant updates to the grade school including several new classrooms and a new gymnasium .

In athletics, the Falcons compete in the 3A Kansas State High School Activities Association (KSHSAA) classification, as part of the Mid-East League.  RCHS has a rich history in many different sports and holds dozens of state championship titles in that time.
