Riley PRIDE
Riley PRIDE is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting volunteer-based community improvement efforts.
PRIDE as an acryonm that stands for Programming Resources with Initiative for Development Effectiveness. In 1970 under the direction of then Governor Robert Docking, the state level organization Kansas PRIDE come into being. From there individual communities around the state began their own off-shoots using the same principals and general goals, which is to make their communities a better place.
To this end Riley PRIDE was created and stands today as a group of men, women, and their families advocating for working towards improving the city of Riley. They do this by organizing various community events such as the annual Fall Festival, Community Picnics, and more recently the creation of a new 9 hole Disc Golf course.
