Tami services as the Code Enforcement Officer of the City of Riley.

Under the supervision of the City Council, she performs a variety of technical duties in support of the City’s local code enforcement. 

General areas of responsibility include but are not limited to:

• Review properties within the city limits of Riley, Kansas, to determine compliance with all applicable city code sections, including, but not limited to, nuisance abatement, unsafe or unfit structures, and fire hazards;
• Aid city residents in bringing any noncompliant properties into compliance with applicable city codes;
• Document noncompliance and draft reports as necessary with respect to conditions which are noncompliant with city codes, forwarding the same to the city attorney when required;
• Testify in criminal proceedings as necessary
